MOSTRA project involving GEMaC receives funding from Île-de-France region

on the November 27, 2020

This project is focused on the new generation transmission electron microscope and involves several laboratories in Île-de-France region, including GEMaC. It will be funded via SESAME 2020 program.

We warmly congratulate the principal investigators of the MOSTRA project - Microscopy of Sensitive Objects with Reduced Voltage and Corrected Aberrations - which, after the positive vote of the Regional Council, will be co-financed via SESAME program of Île-de-France Region. Annick Loiseau and Frédéric Fossard of the Laboratoire d'Études des Microstructures (LEM, CNRS-ONERA) lead the project on behalf of a partnership that also includes researchers and teacher-researchers from GEMaC (CNRS, University Versailles Saint-Quentin en Yvelines) and the Unité Mixte de Physique CNRS-Thales.
The project concerns the installation in LEM in Palaiseau of a new generation transmission electron microscope. This microscope will allow working at low beam energies without loss of image quality, as well as measurements in "ptychography" mode (reconstruction of the 3D image by phase measurement).
