UV and visible photoluminescence

The photoluminescence setup can work either in macro or micro mode. The excitation source is a UV HeCd laser at 325 nm. The samples are placed into a helium bath cryostat that can work from 2 to 300 K. In micro-PL mode, the spatial resolution can be lower than 500 nm.

The spectral analysis is performed based on two Horiba-Jobin-Yvon monochromators:
  • In low resolution with a Triax 550 monochromator equipped with a multichannel analysis with a CCD camera
  • In high resolution with a double monochromator U1000 equipped with a photomultiplier.
The wavelength range approximately lies from 330 to 900 nm.
